Description

I made a handle for an axe head. I Took photos of the axe head with a ruler below it in two different orientations and imported them into fusion 360 as canvas and drew up the axe head. Then I found an image of a handle I liked using google an imported that as a canvas as well and drew the outline of the handle. The part was machined from two sides using a few pins to keep the part in place and 4 mm dowel pins to relocate the part after flipping the stock.

Notes & Instructions

I made a handle for an axe head. I Took photos of the axe head with a ruler below it in two different orientations and imported them into fusion 360 as canvas and drew up the axe head. Then I found an image of a handle I liked using google an imported that as a canvas as well and drew the outline of the handle. I modeled half of the handle and then mirrored the other half. For some reason fusion did not let me combine them, I am not sure why that is. I therefore exported the two halves as step files and imported them back into fusion and combined them. I did add some fillets to the edges of the part before turning on the history tree between the two fusion files linked below but otherwise the whole CAD process is there.
