Modern Desk Lamp - Take 2

This project uses 32x16 ½ in thick plywood. It's the perfect size for my XL machine. I used the following electrical parts: • 40-Watt Equivalent T10 Dimmable Vintage Glass Edison Amber LED Light Bulb • 2 in. Porcelain Fixture Socket • Black 3A Feed-Through Lamp Part On/Off Lamp Switch • Black Lamp Cord (#18, SPT-1 lamp wire) Some notes on the design file as well. It was created using CarbideCreate ver 614. It opens fine with CC ver530, but please double-check everything if you use a different version. Z zero is set at stock bottom. This is my favorite way to set zero when cutting thru the stock. The beveled sides are cut with a 90 deg v-bit in multiple places because the width required is larger than the bit. What I did was first cut an on-the-line contour for a depth of .25 in, then moved over another .25 in and cut the full 0.5 in depth. The design file does this for you already. It worked nicely for me. There are no tabs for holding parts. I used the blue tape and CA work holding method. Assembly was more or less like Kevin’s build. Just glue the sides and top together while being held in place with blue tape. The base is screwed together. The top assembly just sits on the base.
